How to Publish Daily When You’re Busy

For the past week, daily essays have been at the bottom of my priority list.

I've been struggling with balancing daily responsibilities with the commitment I made to myself, however I feel the pressure of staying on top of something I've put a lot of time and effort into.

So this is how I’ve been able to keep publishing daily even though I’ve hardly thought about the past week of essays:

Define your 'niche'

I love talking about a few things - personal finance, content/marketing, and personal stories/life lessons. So I’ve focused my last several essays around those topics and it's easier to spend 10-15 minutes writing about these because they're basically an extension of my day to day life.

Have headlines prepared

Playing off the last point, when having defined topics you enjoy writing about, you begin thinking about ways you can help provide value and educate around those topics. Having an idea of what you want to write about ahead of time, even just a headline, makes it easier to start with a blank page and just start writing about what's on your mind.

Keep your goals in mind

I hate how simple this step is because it doesn't feel like a helpful lesson, but it's true to me. I'm very goal-oriented and in my opinion, if you just want to write daily because other people are doing it, when it’s not convenient, it most likely won't get accomplished. But when you do it because you've set a goal for yourself, you'll end up doing it no matter what.
