3 ways creating content makes you a better person

Creating content and putting yourself out into the world is hard.

Anyone can judge your work. Anyone can leave negative comments.

But creating content can also open up the doors to opportunities you didn't even know existed. It can help you grow a business. It can help you connect with other people.

Outside of the professional benefits, I believe it helps you become a better person.

Here are 3 ways how:

It makes you think

When creating content, it's important to have a clear message. And that clear messaging probably won't be there the first time around.

It may take several iterations of that same idea until you begin to find messaging that resonates. It forces you to think through an idea and figure out possible counter-arguments or holes in what you're saying.

Creating content also makes you think about what your target audience needs and wants. This takes empathy, a valuable trait to develop. But overall, it just makes you think. You have to sit with your thoughts, and figure out how to get a message across.

It forces commitment and consistency

There's no overnight success when it comes to content. To get your ideas to resonate and connect with whoever you want them to takes time. Content creation is a test of patience and commitment and these skills easily translate into other areas of life.

It helps remove fear

Over the past few months, I've become a more confident person. I'm more comfortable sharing my thoughts and opinions after putting them out into the world.

What positive effects have you felt from creating content?
